We believe transparency builds trust. Here's exactly how we handle your information when you choose HostPeppy for your hosting needs.
When you sign up for HostPeppy services, we ask for details that help us serve you better. This includes your full name, email address, phone number, billing address, and payment information. We need these to set up your account, process payments, and provide support when you need it.
Beyond what you actively share, our servers automatically log technical data every time you visit our website. This covers your IP address, browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and the pages you browse. We use this through Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site — what works well and what needs improvement.
Our hosting services are designed for individuals aged 12 years and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 12. If we discover such data has been collected, we delete it immediately from our records.
Your data serves a clear purpose at HostPeppy. We use it to:
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. The only exceptions are when we are legally required to share data with law enforcement, or when we need to pass necessary information to trusted partners who help us run our services — like payment gateways. Even then, we ensure they handle your data with the same care we do.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help websites remember you. At HostPeppy, we use two types:
Session cookies keep you logged in as you navigate between pages in your client area. They vanish the moment you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device longer, helping us recognize returning visitors and remember your preferences — like language settings or dashboard layout.
You have full control. Every modern browser lets you clear cookies, block them entirely, or set preferences site-by-site. Check your browser's help section for step-by-step instructions. Keep in mind that disabling cookies may limit certain features of our control panel.
Our servers automatically generate log files containing IP addresses, browser types, ISP details, timestamps, and clickstream data. We analyze these in aggregate to spot trends and fix issues — never to identify individual users personally. We may link IP addresses to account data solely to block abusive users from harming our network.
Security isn't an afterthought at HostPeppy — it's woven into everything we build. Your personal information is protected by SSL encryption during transmission, and we offer free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates with every hosting plan. Our servers sit behind enterprise-grade firewalls with active session monitoring to catch unauthorized access attempts.
While we invest heavily in protective measures, no system is 100% impenetrable. During data transfers between your device and our servers, there is a small theoretical risk of interception despite encryption. We continuously update our security protocols to minimize this risk, but we believe in being honest about limitations rather than making empty promises.
Our support team may occasionally access your hosting control panel or website files to resolve technical issues you've reported. This access is logged, limited to necessary personnel only, and never used to browse your content without a valid support reason.
Running a hosting business requires working with specialized partners. Our payment processing is handled by Razorpay, PayU, Paytm, and PayPal. Your card details are never stored on our servers — they are encrypted directly by these PCI-DSS compliant providers. Transaction data is used only to complete your purchase and is not retained afterward.
We also use Google Analytics to understand website traffic patterns. They receive non-personally identifiable information like browser type and visit duration. We do not link this analytics data to your account profile.
When you click external links from our site — for example, to a domain registrar or software documentation — you leave HostPeppy's privacy umbrella. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of those third-party sites before sharing any information with them.
Registering a domain name requires sharing contact details with the domain registry, as mandated by ICANN (the global body governing domain names). This information enters the public WHOIS database, which anyone can search. It includes your name, email, phone number, and address.
We offer Domain Privacy Protection on supported extensions to shield your personal details from public WHOIS lookups. Some domain types, however, cannot be privatized due to registry rules. During checkout, we'll clearly show which domains support privacy protection and which don't.
Your website files and account data remain on our servers for the full duration of your active subscription. If you cancel or let your plan expire, we retain your data for an additional 15 to 30 days as a safety net — giving you time to reconsider or migrate without losing everything overnight.
After this grace period, we permanently delete your hosting data from our active servers. However, certain records like invoices, payment receipts, and tax documents must be kept for 5 to 7 years to comply with Indian financial regulations and auditing requirements. These are stored securely and separately from your hosting environment.
You own your data, and we respect that. Through your HostPeppy Client Area, you can view, edit, or update most of your personal information anytime. Your account is password-protected, and we strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication for extra security.
If you spot incorrect information or want something removed, email us at support@hostpeppy.com. We'll verify your identity for protection, then process your request promptly. You can also unsubscribe from our newsletter and promotional SMS at any time — either through the unsubscribe link in emails or by opening a support ticket.
Privacy laws evolve, and so do our services. We may update this policy periodically to reflect new features, legal requirements, or improved practices. When significant changes occur, we post updates here and notify active customers via email. Minor tweaks — like clarifying language — may happen without separate notice.
We encourage you to revisit this page occasionally. Your continued use of HostPeppy services after policy updates means you accept the revised terms. If you ever disagree with a change, you can close your account and request data deletion as outlined above.
Privacy can feel complex, but we're here to make it simple. If anything in this policy confuses you, or if you want to exercise your data rights, reach out directly:
We read every message and respond within 24 hours during business days. Your privacy matters to us, and we take every inquiry seriously.
